A player and his coach

Okay, I'm going to make myself available again. Juniper Junction has taken a long enough break. A job change, long hours...and just pure laziness has contributed to a poor showing on this site. However, as Notre Dame enters the Big East Tournament, it's time to give props! Tonight Luke Harangody and Head Coach Mike Brey were named Big East Player of the Year and Big East Coach of the Year respectively. Oh, forgot, Kyle McAlarney was named along with Gody as 1st team All-Big East. Amazing! Not only was Harangody not picked to compete for the Player of the Year honors to start the season, Notre Dame as a team was picked to finish 9th, after losing 2 All-Big East 1st teamers. And if you've been following all year like I have, you already know they won an amazing 14 games in the Big East. Yes, the same Big East that expanded to a bubble popping 16 teams a couple years back. That's 27 wins in consecutive years! Other than Georgetown, Notre Dame stands tall in a crowded conference.
Now, if you read previous posts, you would of have read that I predicted that Notre Dame Basketball would be back, and after another undefeated season at home, they're here! Two years ago I recognized the talent coming into South Bend, and said it's only a matter of time before the Irish return to the glory days of Digger and '78. So tonight, I would like to congratulate the entire Notre Dame Basketball team for outstanding season. Good luck this week, and good luck in the dance. GO IRISH!
